An elderly writer heads home to the village he grew up in and reminisces about his love affair with a mysterious woman who was branded a witch by the deeply religious locals.
A haunting tale that tells a complex and emotional story. It's slowly paced, taking time to develop the characters and relying on atmosphere rather than cheap shocks. The entire cast give solid performances and it's well shot, taking full advantage of it's setting. While it never quite reaches the heights that you hope for this is still a decent effort from everyone involved.
