Mist, The
The Mist (2007)Dir: Frank Darabont
The residents of a small town hole-up in a supermarket when a storm unleashes a species of blood-thirsty creatures.
Impressive adaptation of Stephen King's novella that keeps you gripped to the very end. Darabont allows the characters time to develop and brilliantly builds the tension. Though the effects aren't always great and the ending is hard to take, it's still a very solid effort.
