A town comes under attack from a deadly blob that consumes everything in it's path.
This remake struggles to improve on the original 50s effort, which had its charms but was never a great film. There is far more gore this time around, but that doesn't make up for the lack of scares or the poor acting. It's not bad but it never quite rises above its B-Movie trappings.
