A novelist returns to Salem's Lot and finds that the town's residents are dying mysteriously.
A Stephen King adaptation that tries hard but unfortunately fails to do the novel justice. Director Tobe Hooper handles the scares well and the actors all do their best, in spite of a weak script. The problem with the film is that story strands are left unfinished and without closure the film feels messy and incomplete.
