Texas Chain Saw Massacre, The (1974)
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974)Dir: Tobe Hooper
Five friends on a road trip through Texas fall prey to a murderous cannibalistic family.
Influential horror film that still has the power to shock and disturb. The sense of dread is there from the start and some scenes are terrifying, yet despite the film's reputation it's surprisingly light on gore. The story has since become a cliché and the acting isn't great, but the film excels with it's raw style and gritty realism.
