In present day Moscow the forces of dark roam as vampires, watched over by forces of light known as the 'Night Watch'.
Fascinating film that is as brilliant as it is frustrating. The plot is difficult to follow and as this is the first part of a trilogy, a number of storylines have no closure. But some ideas are great and the effects are impressive, it's just a shame it's such a flawed effort.
