20 years after the deaths of two counsellors, Camp Crystal Lake is reopened but soon the murders start again.
Classic horror film that helped kickstart the slasher genre. The film wonderfully builds up tension and atmosphere, and the setting is well used. It's consistently creepy, and even though the twist ending is weak it still does enough things right to justify its classic status.
