Ripley's escape pod crash lands on a prison planet and she soon discovers that an alien had been stowed away on board.
This sequel famously had a troubled production and it clearly suffers because of it. What could have been a dark and very clever film seems messy and confused. It's still interesting, but Fincher's unique style is obviously hampered and it struggles to live up to its predecessors.
