A group of people trapped inside a farmhouse battle to survive as the dead return to life.
An interesting if pointless remake of Romero's landmark movie. The story and characters are mostly the same, though the make-up effects have improved somewhat. The actors do a good job and it's competently directed by Savini. But if there's one thing lacking here it's the bleakness of the original.
