In The Mouth Of Madness
In The Mouth Of Madness (1995)Dir: John Carpenter
An insurance investigator is sent to discover the whereabouts of a missing horror writer.
A strangely uneven film from Carpenter that had the potential to be good but is ultimately let down by poor directing. The acting isn't bad and the concept is decent, it's just a shame it's a confused mess of ideas. The effects are gory and impressive, but it's nowhere near as scary as it could have been.
