Carrie (1976)
Carrie (1976)Dir: Brian De Palma
A shy young girl with telekinetic powers is pushed too far by her bullying classmates.
An interesting tale with above average acting and a classic ending. De Palma's film borrows a lot from Hitchcock and feels very dated now, though the performances help hold it together. It's very slow and occasionally a bit heavy handed, but the final act is truly spectacular and still manages to be powerful to this day.
