Dark Night Of The Scarecrow

Dark Night Of The Scarecrow (1981)
Dir: Frank De Felitta

A falsely accused man is murdered, but returns to exact revenge in the form of a scarecrow.
A spooky and atmospheric thriller that makes the most of a good setting and a clever story. It has some great scenes and the scarecrow is a truly terrifying looking character. The acting is really impressive, in particular the always excellent Charles Durning, and the film keeps you in suspense until its subtle creepy ending.
