A police sergeant is called to an island village to investigate the disappearance of a young girl.
Strange and unsettling film that despite being atmospheric and creepy fails to entertain. It's far too slow and boring, and nothing much happens until near the end. Having said that the setting is great and it's well acted by Edward Woodward. Also the ending is impressive and really tense, it's just a shame it's the only good part.
