Joyû-rei (Ghost Actress)
Joyû-rei (1996)Dir: Hideo Nakata
A film set is haunted by the ghost of an actress who died during the filming of a tv show back in the 60s.
Hideo Nakata's first horror film is an interesting ghost story that has many similarities to his later work. The story is simple and the acting isn't bad, but it's the atmosphere that really makes this film work. Suitably creepy with some stand-out scenes, this is a decent effort.
