In 18th century France two men are sent by the King to investigate the deaths of hundreds of people by a mysterious beast.
An epic and beautifully made horror fantasy. This is a visually stunning film, especially the awesome fight sequences, and the acting is excellent. The story is great and there are also some good scares, but it's the action scenes that set this film apart. A true masterpiece.
